Lotus uses a secure identity verification flow powered by Persona to make sure only you can connect and access your health records.
You can choose either verification method:
Social Security number (SSN) verification (typically the fastest): you enter your SSN so Persona can confirm your identity quickly.
Facial + ID verification (if that feels more comfortable): you scan a government-issued ID and complete a brief selfie match so Persona can confirm it’s really you.
Privacy is central to the design. Your verification data (including SSN or facial match information) is used only to verify your identity and protect access to your account and records. We do not share or expose this information to other third parties without your consent.
If you’re deciding between the two: SSN is often the quickest path, but facial/ID match is always available if you’d prefer not to use SSN.
